Hello everyone, I'm interested in knowing what the data protection situation is, whether at a casino, betting provider, or online poker.

As usual, you always have to verify yourself. But then the providers come along and say we need your documents. Even your utility bill or something similar. Your ID card (really creepy). Nowadays, there are even providers where I can verify myself using my bank account via online banking.

Personally, I think it should be sufficient. After all, a bank should be trustworthy. I also believe that there are far fewer complaints and hassles with online providers.

When it comes to documents (passports/ID cards), what's the data protection situation? No one knows who has access to their personal data. What happens to it?

If you move, perhaps even to another country, what happens with verification?

Hallo zusammen es würde mich einmal interessieren wie es aus sieht mit dem Datenschutz . Egal ob beim Casino, Wettanbieter Online Poker.

Man muss sich ja wie bekannt immer verifizieren. Aber dann kommen die Anbieter wir brauchen deine Dokumente. Sogar Stromrechnung oder Ähnliches. Personalausweis ( Ganz unheimlich ) Heute zutage gibt es auch Anbieter wo ich mich über mein Bankkonto via Online Banking verifizieren kann.

Ich Persönlich bin der Meinung das es auch ausreichen muss. Grund eine Bankinstitut sollte man schon vertrauen können. Ich glaube auch das es viel weniger Beschwerden und Ärger mit den Online Anbietern gibt.

In Sachen Dokumente ( Reisepass / Personalausweis ) wie sieht es da mit dem Datenschutz aus ? Keiner Weiß wer auf seine Persönlichen Daten Zugriff hat. Was passiert damit.

Im Falle eines Umzugs eventuell sogar in ein anderes Land was ist dann mit der Verifizierung ?

Well, providing ID is nothing unusual and if you play in decent casino - based on your account details, I would expect GGL-licensed sites I guess you don't worry. Being able to verify through baking identity is a really good feature; on the other hand, I'd say especially off-shore casinos missing a concrete German license would have real troubles using details stored through German banks.

Basically only the required staff should be able to get to your personal details and solely for the strictly set purposses. Ask the casino for such details, because it depends on various aspects.

Additionally, if you move to another country, at least your address will very likely change, which will require new verification. Best approach is to discuss details with the casino support in advance.
